Dee Vickers LMT, BCTMB, M.ED.

Massage, bodywork and the healing arts are my life’s work. I am a nationally board certified (BCTMB), licensed massage therapist in Tennessee #6935, Texas #MT127619, Arkansas #9121 and Alabama #1747. I have been practicing massage therapy for eighteen years. I offer specialized TMJ and headache/migraine massage therapy services in Nashville, TN.  My clinical specialty is TMJ massage treating TMJ pain and headache/migraine pain. I am a certified TMJ massage therapist and clinical TMJ massage instructor. I have extensive training in specialty massage modalities which allow me to provide an integrated therapeutic massage that comes from all of my years of experience and vast training.

My professional education and training began with my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Auburn University in Marketing Education. I received my massage education at Gadsden State Community College.  I was an apprentice to Patricia Casebere LMT, RN. Patricia  was a direct apprentice of Dr. Janet Travell the founder of trigger point therapy.  I credit Patricia with lighting my path for massage by teaching me so many hands on techniques. Under Patricia’s supervision, I learned many massage and bodywork methods. The method I treasure learning the most from Patricia was TMJ massage. She passed down to me the methods and procedures for doing TMJ massage as she learned them form Dr. Travell.

I have a profound passion for helping people treat and manage their TMJD pain and headache/migraine pain and discomfort. Helping people with injuries and chronic pain in the jaw, head and neck that comes from conditions such as TMJ dysfunction, whiplash, shoulder impingement, migraines, tension headaches, sports injuries, head and neck trauma and accidents is where the depth of my skills really shine. I am also available for therapeutic massage for many other conditions using an integrated approach to therapeutic massage that utilizes many modalities to include but not limited to: myofascial release, trigger point therapy, cupping, heat therapy, hydrotherapy, stretching techniques, and cranial sacral therapy.
